In Nov 2022, Gov. Kim Reynolds signed a proclamation declaring Nov 15th as Iowa Recycles Day. This is the only day nationally recognized to celebrate and promote recycling in the Iowa.

Recycling is collecting and processing materials that would otherwise be thrown away in the trash and turning them in to new products. Reducing, reusing and recycling waste is important to ensure a cleaner future for generations in Iowa.
